Mission statement
The VESTIGIA Manuscript Research Center was founded as a cross-department research center by the rectorate of the University Graz.
Research Objectives
- Indexing of hitherto unknown or inaccessible collections especially in South-Eastern and Eastern Europe;
- Indexing of individual manuscripts and manuscript collections which have been unregarded because of their language;
- Indexing of palimpsets and manuscript fragments;
- Preservation and digitisation of endangered manuscripts;
- Edition and analysis of selected sources;
- Training of qualified researchers in this area.
