The accessible manuscripts are studied in clearly circumscribed individual projects and in cooperation with the respective institution where the manuscripts are kept.
The study of the manuscript begins . as far as this has not happened yet . with the development of descriptive catalogues. Only then is an edition or textual analysis of individual manuscripts possible.
The linguistic competences in the VESTIGIA Manuscript Research Center are exceptional. The analysis of the above mentioned sources is only possible, because, apart from biblical languages, Syrian and Armenian are linguistic core qualifications in our center.
